Ameericane first read Calvino’s little book in and periodically I pick it up and read parts of it again. Parla di letteratura per l’oggi. Guido, seeing himself surrounded by them, answered quickly: Solo quando sono giunta alla fine ho avuto la sensazione che la Leggerezza fosse la colonna portante delle proposte calviniane.
Reading Calvino is an experience in itself. Some of his writing has been called postmodernreflecting on literature and the act of reading, while some has been labeled magical realist, others fables, others simply “modern”.
