It created an image in my head that allowed me to depict everything that Before I started Breathing, I was warned about the Southern dialect and how irritating it was. She embodies the typical teenage girl, full of insecurities and hopes. I loved the southern dialect that you can feel throughout the story, as well as the relationships that were developed. Fans of Sarah Dessen will enjoy this sweet Southern novel full of charm and wit by this debut author. Her father left her family years ago, and Savannah truly believes he took jerbsman ability to really breathe with him, as she has had life-threatening asthma since the day he left.
This book was as sweet as a southern accent! Savannah’s brother, Dog, is the only one who sounded right for his age. A girl who has lots of similar teen issues like me or us and behaves accordingly.
