Read the book instead. It’s easy to read this book and get sucked into the characters to the point of forgetting that these were real people, faced with real situations that we cannot honestly imagine in this day and age. It covers the span of time from late inwhen the war had become all but inevitable, to Junejust before the Battle of Gettysburg.
But the discrepancy between the troops is growing, barely 25, exhausted and underfed Confederates facing an army of nearly one hundred vods thousand, many of whom have not yet seen action. The location is mostly around Virginia.
